The Double S Clinch Gouge is used to remove hoof material under the nail while clinching. By making a small recess in the hoof wall under the clinch, this tool ensures the clinch sits flat and tight in the wall. The Double S Clinch Cutter is used to cut the clinches after the shoe has been nailed on. Once the nail points have been turned over, the clinch cutter trims the protruding ends to the right length. This gives even clinches and prepares them for a neat and secure finish.
